About College: Govindram  Seksaria College of Commerce and Economics, Nagpur was established in 1945 by Shiksha Mandal, Wardha to fulfill the requirement of Commerce education in the region during the pre-independence period. It is the first Commerce College in the city of Nagpur and only the second in Nagpur University: the first being G. S. College of Commerce, Wardha. Having been set on course by such noted Gandhians and freedom fighters as Shri Jamnalal Bajaj and Shri Krishndas Jajoo, who founded Shiksha Mandal, the college continued to receive patronage by Seth Govindaram Seksaria, Shri Kamlnayanji Bajaj, Shri Ramkrishnaji Bajaj and host of other noble souls who shaped our existence from time to time.
